Blackrock Tidy Towns

This evening we did a circular route starting on the Blackrock end of Mount Merrion Avenue and continuing along Sydney Ave, left into Georges Avenue, on to the Blackrock By-pass and left again onto Mount Merrion Avenue. The early section of Sydney Avenue was quite clean, the section where the houses are nearer the road was dirtier. Georges Avenue has alot of footfall as it is a link route into Blackrock town from surrounding areas. It was quite dirty. The worst location was the rubbish in and under the hedging on the Blackrock By-pass outside the Blackrock Shopping Centre. That hedge has some mean thorns. It took two of us just under two hours to complete this route.
